Raising cats
How to raise a cat?
First of all, remember the most important thing: raising cats requires patience and sincere love. Upbringing must assume a constant – friendly, but persistent! – attention to your pet. Therefore, the task of the owners – in any case not to shout at the beast, and explain to him what to do is impossible.
This is especially true of wayward breeds of animals, which may be offended at the cry and even then take revenge on the offender, so, for example, the education of Scottish cats or the education of Siamese cats should be very careful, balanced and careful.
When raising a cat, never beat her. In particular, in no case can not beat the pet on the head, as well as in the area of the tail, where the cats have something like the solar plexus. It is most effective to simply threaten a cat with a finger, and this will be the best punishment for it – these animals do not like being shaken with their fingers in front of their faces.
We sharpen claws correctly
The most “popular” problems that cat owners may worry about are the animal’s desire to sharpen its claws on your furniture or wallpaper and the overwhelming desire to “mark corners.” Often, even that cat, the upbringing and care of which are permanent and exceptionally correct, still tries to break the prohibitions and creates its own “dark matter”, knowing full well that it is forbidden to her.
To wean the animal to tear up your favorite sofas, buy him a special scraper and train the cat to sharpen claws only with its help. In addition, raising cats in this situation also implies proper care for them: timely trim your pet’s claws (the kitten needs to be trained to this procedure “from young claws”), update toys, and spray curtains and furniture with special preparations that repel the animal, but it does not cause any harm to the upholstery. Similarly, you can do with wallpaper, which cats often tear not even to sharpen claws, but simply out of boredom or out of curiosity.
How to wean a cat to mark the corners?
In this case, the education of cats provides a whole range of various measures that are aimed at eradicating bad habits and getting rid of unpleasant odors in the house. First of all, make sure that the cat has a well-equipped toilet with a suitable filler. It happens that cats categorically do not accept their tray, so try to choose what will suit her taste. And, of course, make sure that the toilet was in a convenient place for the cat and was always clean.
If the cat has already committed a “crime”, wipe the place of the label with vinegar or a smell neutralizer, and you can also put a few orange peels in the “favorite” places of the kitten – the smell of citrus cats do not tolerate. In addition, try to isolate the kitten marking the corners from your bedrooms and other places where he especially likes to leave his unpleasant “footprints”, then he simply will not have the opportunity to cause you displeasure.
