Cats in history: the secrets of the ages
The fact that we owe the appearance of cats to Ancient Egypt is almost not a secret to anyone. This country is officially considered the birthplace of these wonderful animals, and it was she who once was famous for the cult of cats, some forms of which have survived to this day. The origin and domestication of cats
Many argue that the first cats were tamed and domesticated by the ancient Egyptians, but there is no general opinion on this matter. It is believed that the history of the appearance of cats next to a man begins about 10-12 thousand years ago and is related to the fact that these animals became close to people since the latter began to lead a sedentary lifestyle.
