Many cat owners, when communicating with their pet, notice that the animal does not always express its emotions and requests directly. Very often it demonstrates mysterious gestures and postures that are not so easy to explain, so the owner often becomes stumped, not understanding what the pet wants. However, it is enough to observe the cat carefully, and it will become clear what exactly its unusual cat tricks mean.
Cat asks for attention
The main trick is related to the fact that your pet needs attention, but it does not always want to demonstrate this openly. As a rule, this is expressed in special postures and gestures: the animal demonstratively sits back to you or in profile, expressing its hurt, reproach, or indifference with its whole look. If you do not take him in your arms and do not caress, the pet can walk a little, so that you can notice it, and then again sit in the same position. And the best thing is to immediately pick him up and show that you have not forgotten about him.
Similarly, a cat may ask you for a treat. In this case, she will sit down close to the locker where her food is stored, or from her own bowl and will make it as completely as possible, but in fact the animal requires your attention, and it is better not to disappoint him.
Cat is afraid
Is your pet frozen on the threshold of the room and, in indecision, moves tail to and fro? Or did you start to wash abruptly and intensely after you screamed at her? Do not think that your animal calmed down and forgot about everything! Intensive washing is also a special way of communicating with its owner, and this is how an animal signals: he needs help!
According to experts, it is washing that helps the cat to overcome stress and calm down, but this does not mean that you should stand aside. Be sure to try to pet your sweetheart and calm her down (this should be done very gently, gently calling the cat to yourself and in no way raising your voice). And never forget that a cat after some extraordinary incident can defiantly behave calmly: this is just a cat trick, and if you understand that the animal needs your support and help, and it is better not to postpone it for a long time.
The cat loves you!
Did you stroke the cat or decided to play with it, but did she suddenly grab your hand with its paws and scratch it quite noticeably? Do not rush to scold the pet! Scratching and biting is another cat trick, which means only a manifestation of love. Thus, your animal shows you that it is not indifferent to you, loves you very much and demands to pay attention to it more often. Especially often, cats resort to this method of communication, if you rarely appear at home, come late and often do not pay enough attention to your darling. This is not anger or resentment – it’s just a trick, and if you don’t immediately start scolding the cat and screaming at it, it will immediately hug your hand with its paws and “regret” you, showing that you don’t have anyone else.
